Every country represented on our Board serves as the official national link between the Awards and their local film community.
How National Representation Works
Each Board Member acts as the country representative, responsible for: Coordinating with filmmakers, guilds, film associations, and industry bodies. Gathering all eligible works produced within their country. Selecting and submitting the films that will officially represent their nation at the Golden Arc Honors. Submissions are not accepted from individual filmmakers directly. Instead, entries come per country, endorsed and submitted solely through the official national representative. This structure ensures that every film presented carries the full backing and recognition of its country.
A Continental System Inspired by AFCON
Our nomination process reflects the spirit of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON): Every country presents its strongest “team” of films. Only nationally endorsed works proceed to the nomination stage. Each submission becomes a symbol of cultural identity, artistic excellence, and national pride. This approach allows the Golden Arc Honors to function as a true gathering of African nations, each showcasing the very best of their creative industries.
